Dr.B.N.Chavan born on 11 th March , 1941 at Paithan in the family of Late Narayanrao Chavan the freedom fighter and renowned District Judge. Shri Shankarraoji Chavan is his uncle. He worked as Principal of Law College and retired on 31st March,2001.The farewell function on the eve of retirement was memorable. All his admirers and studentswere present. Aptitude and Competency in handing Administration , observing high order of Discipline , Efficiency in Gathering the Confidence of All Associates. Ability of taking timely decisions and Enthusiasm for marching ahead are the positive consequences of the prolonged career in the field of education.He has introduced the idea of Dress in college to Students and Lecturers also.It is being implemented as on today. His contribution in Sports upliftment in Nanded is unforgettable.At present he is sufering from parelesis.The unfortunate attack of parelesis hit him in travel to atten the funeral of his father. In the farewell meeting everybody prayed for his better health and we too pray the same.

Educational Achievements
He is a science graduate and post graduate in Law i.e. LL.M. [ Merit First]. He has been awarded Doctorate[Ph.d.] by Dr. Babaseb Ambedkar Marathwada University , Aurangabad.He has completed acertificate course in Russian and German Language and  Diploma in Co- Operation.
Career
He started his carrier at S.B.College, Aurangabad as Demonstrator in 1963-1970 in  Dept . of Chemistry.
He joined Law College and worked as  Vice –prinicpal  during the year1971-1975 in Law College , Nanded .
He worked as  Principal of Law College, Nanded since 1975 onwards.
He was honoured by Directorship of Marathwada University Center , Nanded during 1991-1994

1. Acted as member of S.S.C . & S.C .Maharashtha State Board , Pune and member senate, Academic Council & Executive Council of the said Board.
2. Acted as member of Academic Council , Senate & Executive Council of the Marathwada University , Aurangabad.
3. Actively Participated in the Academic and general development of the Marathwada Univeristy, Aurangabad , and has been worked as Member on various statutory and other committees of the University for last 30 years.
