Late Syed Farook Pasha
Syed Farook Pasha s/o Syed Makdam Pasha born on 2nd August,1930. He was
well qulified. He was B.A.,LL.B. He was residing at Old Gunj, Nanded. He
had started his political career as Secretary of District Congress Committe,
Nanded in the year 1962 to 1970.Then in 1969 to 1972 he was secretary of
Maharashtra Congress Legislature Party.
He was first elected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 1962 by defeating
the great leader then leader of opposition Shri V.D.Deshpande.
He was relected to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for second and third
term. Thus he recorded the hat trick in the history of Nanded Vidhansabha
election.
Then in the year 1978 he was elected to Maharashtra Legislative Council [
Vidhan Parishad ] from Satara-Sangli Local Bodies Council.
He was elected unanimously as Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
in 1976.
He served as Minister of State for Industry and Education in 1977-78 under
the Chief Minister - Late Vasant Dada Patil.
He also worked as Chairman of Maharashtra Overseas Employment Corporation
[ MOPEC] from 1983 to 1986 nominated by then honourable chief Minister Late
Shri Vasant Dada Patil.
He worked on various committees of Government of Maharashtra and Maharashtra
Legislature as a Chairman.
He also served in Educational Institutions, INTUC and other organaisations
at Nanded.
He was chairman of Madina-tul-ulloom education society, Nanded.
He passed away on 16th December,1992
